Healthwatch North Lincolnshire is the consumer champion for local health and social care services. It takes the experiences that people have of local care and uses them to help shape local services, leading to the outcome of improved delivery and commissioning of health and social care services across North Lincolnshire.
The contract for the delivery of Healthwatch North Lincolnshire is held by Meeting New Horizons (MNH), and we are currently recruiting for the following position.
Volunteer Coordinator
Salary: £18,000 pa pro rata
Hours: 21 hours per week
Base: Normanby Gateway, Scunthorpe
The work of Healthwatch is supported by a network of volunteers who carry out a variety of roles within the service, from visiting local health and care services to conducting surveys and attending meetings and community events. We are now seeking an organised and outgoing individual to support and coordinate the work of our local volunteers.
The successful candidate will oversee the recruitment, supervision and management of Healthwatch volunteers and ensure they are able to contribute fully to the service. The post holder will also ensure that volunteering policies and procedures are implemented and kept up to date, and will support the coordination of Enter and View activity, which is one of the statutory powers of Healthwatch.
