RDASH Patient Engagement – The Big Conversation

12/07/2016

Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) operates services in approximately 240 locations across Rotherham, Doncaster, North Lincolnshire, North-East Lincolnshire and Manchester. These include: Inpatient and hospital-based services at The Woodlands and Swallownest Court in Rotherham, the Tickhill Road site and Emerald Lodge in Doncaster, Great Oaks in Scunthorpe, and community services in a wide range of community settings, including registered and supported living homes.

The Trust headquarters, Woodfield House, is based on the Tickhill Road site in Balby, Doncaster. The Trust employs over 3,600 staff and have more than 200 committed volunteers. Over 106,000 people accessed RDaSH services last year.

Cheryl Watkinson has recently been appointed as the Trust’s Membership and Engagement Facilitator.  Part of her role will be to make it easier for people to be more involved if they wish, whether it is through becoming a member or a volunteer at the Trust or taking an active role in the Trust’s future plans, for example, through their involvement in consultations.

Cheryl will also be working on ways to make it easier for people to feedback and tell the Trust what they think about the services they provide.  June will see the launch of work to review the Trust’s patient and public engagement strategy so please watch out for more details - the Trust is really keen to involve people from the outset, before they even put pen to paper so please  get involved where you can.  If you would like to keep up to date with RDaSH you can sign up for a free newsletter here:  https://secure.membra.co.uk/RDaSHApplicationForm/

If you would like to find out more about being involved at RDaSH you can contact Cheryl on Freephone 0800 015 0370 or email ftmembership@rdash.nhs.uk
