Healthwatch Volunteer Opportunity
Are you someone with a passion for making things better? Do you think you could make a positive contribution to how health and social care services are delivered in North Lincolnshire.
Healthwatch is the new way for local people to have a real say in improving and changing local health and social care services. Healthwatch is now actively seeking volunteers across North Lincolnshire to fulfil a number of different volunteer roles.
We require volunteers for the following roles:
Enter & View Visitor: Enter and View is the one of the tools available to Healthwatch to find out people’s experiences of health and social care. Enter and view is not an inspection but instead involves authorised representatives entering settings where health and social care services are conducted, talking to patients, their families/carers and also staff in order to find out their views and experiences and to observe how well services are being delivered. Enter and View volunteers will be trained in how to carry out this work and how to exercise their powers appropriately.
Task & Finish Groups: Task and Finish groups will be open to volunteers and groups with a specific interest in or experience of a service (or health condition) for example if you have experience of or care for a dementia patient, you might be interested in helping to review a service working in this field. You will work in project groups to look at specific issues that are relevant to health matters.
Readability Group: Be involved in reviewing certain documents/reports relating to health and social care services.
If you are interested in any of the above volunteer roles, please contact me on firstname.lastname@example.org for an application form and job description.
