Get checked out for free, come along for a free midlife MOT!

Get checked out for free!

Don’t miss out on your chance to help prevent diabetes, heart disease and stroke.

If you live in North Lincolnshire, are aged between 40 and 74, and do not have a pre-existing health condition (like high blood pressure, heart problems or diabetes), then you can book yourself in for a free midlife MOT.

As we get older we have a higher risk of developing something dangerous like high blood pressure, heart disease or diabetes. Your NHS health check can spot the early signs and help prevent these conditions.

The sessions are held at convenient locations out in the community rather than in a traditional health setting. Venues include leisure centres, community centres, libraries, working men’s clubs and at places of work. They are held on a drop-in basis but appointments are also available.

During the health check a nurse measures your blood pressure, pulse, weight and height, cholesterol, waist measurement, bmi and asks you a series of lifestyle questions about your activity levels and diet. You are then given a score for your risk of developing heart disease over the next 10 years and offered advice and support for preventing this.

To book your free health check call 01724 292170.
