CQC Report Rates Hospital Trust as ‘Requires Improvement’
England’s Chief Inspector of Hospitals has rated Northern Lincolnshire & Goole Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as ‘requires improvement’ following an inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Scunthorpe Hospital was rated as ‘inadequate’ and the Trust’s Community Services which were being inspected for the first time, were given an overall rating of ‘requires improvement’.
Kirsten Spark, Delivery Manager, Healthwatch North Lincolnshire said:
“Healthwatch North Lincolnshire have been invited to the NLAG Quality Summit where the CQC will present the findings to partners and discuss an improvement plan. We welcome this opportunity and will continue to support the Trust to listen and learn from patient experiences and improve the quality of care for our residents.”
“Healthwatch is an independent organisation and we are here to listen to the public’s views on health and care to influence meaningful change. We urge people to continue to tell Healthwatch about their experiences at Scunthorpe General Hospital and NLAG community services both good and not so good. Together we can ensure the patient voice is listened to and raise any concerns we receive with the Trust.”
