Festival of Wellbeing 2019

 July 2019

We had a great day at our 2019 festival of wellbeing.

The weather didn’t let us down this year and we were joined by hundreds of local people.

All the stall holders were extremely busy helping visitors with advice and information...and enjoying themselves a little too.

The free activities gave visitors the chance to try something new

and we were thrilled to have starlight arts join us this year. They entertained everyone with a range of beautiful songs, all with a Makaton accompaniment making them inclusive for everyone.

This years 'Healthwatch Ray of Sunshine' award was won by Jo Hamer.

The presentation was emotional for everyone involved.

The award was collected by one of Jo's team and will be kept on her desk for a year until it is passed on to the next worthy winner in 2020.

The response to our young peoples’ mental health challenge was amazing and the winner was chosen by our friends at Scunthorpe Samaritans.

The feedback we received from visitors and stall holders alike was extremely positive including:

"Fantastic event, well organised and well attended. Great selections of stall". "Really enjoyed the experience and well organised, thanks"

The Healthwatch stand was very busy with the team speaking to over a hundred people about what we do and listen to their experiences of health and social care services. We were able to signpost people to support services who could help them and it was great to have many of them on hand at the event.

We would like to thank everyone who joined us on the day including all the stall holders and activity leads.

Hope to see you all in 2020!
