Ray of Sunshine award 2019

21/05/2019

Ray of Sunshine award

Nominations open for the Ray of Sunshine award.

People across North Lincolnshire are being encouraged to nominate an outstanding individual from Health and Social Care who has been a ‘Ray of Sunshine’ in their life this year.

Healthwatch North Lincolnshire launched this award in 2018 to give local people the opportunity to recognise anyone within the health and care services who has gone the extra mile to offer exceptional care.

Engagement Officer, Yvonne Davison said;

Little things can make a huge difference, and here at Healthwatch we love to hear about the great care and support received by people living in North Lincolnshire, nominations can be anyone who made a difference to your life in the last twelve months. This could be a nurse, doctor or dentist. A carer, a volunteer or receptionist. A paramedic, a porter or pharmacist. Nominations can be anyone at all who has been that glistening ‘Ray of Sunshine’ for you or your family’.

Colleagues can also nominate co-workers who they believe go above and beyond for their patients.

Members of the public are being encouraged to act quickly, as the closing date for nominations is the 1st July 2019. The nomination form can be accessed below, from the events page on the Healthwatch North Lincolnshire website or can be requested over the phone on 01724 844986.

All nominations will be shared on Healthwatch North Lincolnshire Facebook and Twitter feeds to allow the public to vote, and the winner will be announced at the annual Healthwatch Festival of Wellbeing on the 28th of July 2019 at Normanby Hall Country Park.
