Patient Participation Group (PPG) Member's Conference
On Tuesday 27th October, North Lincolnshire CCG hosted the first North Lincolnshire Patient Participation Group (PPG) Conference. The event was well attended by local PPG members and newcomers alike. Key note speakers at the event included:
‘The Importance of PPGs – A National Perspective’ presented by Paul Devlin, Chief Executive, National Association for Patient Participation (pictured left).
Dr Robert Jaggs-Fowler, Clinical Lead for Healthy Lives, Healthy Futures delivered the final lecture of the day on ‘Healthy Lives, Healthy Futures – Whither General Practice’.
There were a range of workshops throughout the afternoon, including a presentation from Healthwatch Chair, Julia Pollock (pictured right) on how to make your PPG inclusive and effective.
Other workshops included Dr Faisel Baig and Jane Ellerton from North Lincolnshire CCG delivering a virtual tour around North Lincolnshire’s newly developing services for people with long-term conditions and how urgent care services can support your health.
Mark Brodigan and Rachel Singyard from NHS England National Primary Care Contract Team delivered a workshop demystifying general practice (GP) contractual arrangements.
